“ This place is really tucked into the shopping center, but it is clean and efficient with its space. Service was fast and friendly, food fresh and hot... the spicy miso ramen broth was delicious, I'm in love!! Overall I enjoyed my experience and will definitely be back! (I got spice level 3 and it was yummy, just a kick of heat) ”
“ One of my favorite ramen places in Torrance! If you are looking for more of a clear broth definitely check out this place! My friend who lives in Japan now and grew up in Torrance still says this is one of his favorite ramen shop ”
“ I came here on the recommendation of my friend's wife who is from Japan and this is one of her favorite ramen restaurants. I had their Josui ramen while my family had the other types of ramen here. Broth with the Josui ramen was clean and light but still maintained good flavor and all of the ingredients in this ramen bowl was high quality. My family enjoyed their ramen here as well. Seating is available at the counter and at tables. Great service. Overall, the Josui ramen is great quality and a must-order here. ”
“ This is one of my favorite ramen spots! I always order the kids shoyu as it's the perfect size for me! My friend always gets the Josui garlic oil ramen and adds the $4.50 combo with karaage and a salad! So juicy and tender! We also love the homemade pork gyoza! So light and fluffy. Service is always friends and quick and inside is always clean!! ”
“ If you're looking for a spot with clean tasting ramen, definitely check out Ramen Josui. I've never been a fan of thick, heavy ramen broths but I love that Josui ramen tastes clean. The Josui ramen broth is made from pork, chicken, and fish with a good amount of al dente thin noodles. I added a soft boiled egg for $2.50 which is quite pricey but it tasted pretty good. If you do enjoy heavier broths, they have a miso ramen that comes with a piece of butter on top and has a pretty generous portion of noodles. They have seating at the counter and several tables available inside with plenty of parking in the lot. Overall a great spot for comforting ramen! ”
“ Every time our niece comes to town, she wants to go to Josui. There are a bajillion ramen options in the South Bay to Irvine, which makes the ramen options very competitive. I've only been to Josui for dinner and they strictly open at 5:30. When we arrived, we arrived about 15 minutes before opening and there was already a family ahead of us. By the time the doors opened, there were 5 groups behind us. By the time we left, there was a wait. The service and the food here is solid and the prices are on par with other ramen places I typically go to (HiroNori is on the higher end nowadays, charging almost $20 for a bowl, I believe Josui was around the $14-15 on average). On this trip, I decided on the Tantanmen because I wanted something on the heavier side and spicy. It hit the spot perfectly and I devoured it all. I also ordered a side of chicken karage. It was fine, but nothing to write home about. I think I'll just stick with the ramen next time. ”
“ Delicious vegan ramen! Love the flavor of the broth and the consistency of the tofu in the soup. Easy parking. ”
“ Date: June 9, 2024 We were in the South Bay Area when hubs wanted to eat some ramen. We've been to many places around here and wanted to try a new spot so yelped around and saw this spot was close by. Decided to check it out. We made it just in time before they closed for their dinner break. There was a little wait so we sat outside until they called our name. While waiting, we looked at the menu to make sure we knew what we wanted when we sat down to save time. 1. Josui Ramen (12.80$) + gyoza combo (+4.25$) - had to get their signature ramen to try. Pretty light in flavor imo. But the portion is huge!! 2. Chicken Nanban (9.95$) - not too bad. The sauce was good on top. Was a little soggy. 3. Josui Kids Ramen (7.50$ + kids get to pick a toy!) I thought this was pretty cool that they let the kids pick a toy! Wish they did it after we finished eating bc that's all he wanted to play with during the meal. But it's a pretty big bowl for a kids meal! More noodles than toppings of course but so worth the price. Overall, service was really nice. Food was quick. Average tasting imo but I'm not a huge ramen enthusiast. Hubs thought it was just average too and he loves ramen. Either way, thank you for such friendly service even though we barely made the lunch cut off! Probably won't be back but thanks for the first time experience :) ”
“ I've heard about Josui for a while and finally had a chance to come here. I called around 7:30pm on a Saturday to see if there is a long wait. Surprisingly they said there is no wait! So we came right over. It's a cozy ramen shop with a cool bar and counter. We ordered a Josui ramen, a shoyu ramen with garlic oil and a kids shoyu ramen. The Josui ramen reminded me of a ramen I had at Tokyo Station in Japan. It's complex but very seafood forward so it has almost a sweet aftertaste. The shoyu ramen with garlic oil is very savory and robust. You can definitely taste the garlic essence in the broth. The kids shoyu ramen comes with corn in it. The best part is the kids meal comes with a toy! They bring a basket of little toys and the kids can pick one that they like. The karage was just alright. Maybe it needs more marinade?. The restaurant plays a wide variety of music. We heard some 80s, 90s and 2000s music throughout the night. However, when one of my dining partner's favorite The Smiths song was just starting to play, they switched it to a Mexican song! That annoyed him a bit. lol Overall the food is pretty good and the service is friendly. I'd come back when I'm in the area. ”
“ I love this place! Definitely one of the best ramen spots in the South Bay! If you're looking for a casual Japanese ramen place, this place is totally worth checking out. My husband and I came on a weekday evening and got seated right away with no wait. Josui ramen: this is their signature ramen. The broth is made from pork, chicken, and finished with fish. It had a very clean taste to it that I absolutely loved. It's not too heavy or oily or fatty like other ramens. It was very well balanced and comforting--just right! I would totally get this again! We also tried the Nagoya style chicken wings which came with 6 pieces. The seasoning was delicious! They also have a small kids ramen! Love places that are kid-friendly! The service was friendly and efficient. They offer a 4% cash discount so bring cash if possible to save a little money. Parking: free in plaza lot ”
